About Diva Q

Diva Q – A Life in Smoke

In 2006, I walked into a barbecue judging contest a friend had mentioned not knowing it would change my life forever. I’d always loved the art of food and cooking, but that day was something else entirely. The rush of smoky air, the hiss of sizzling pits, the infectious energy of the crowd, and the sheer passion radiating from the pitmasters, I soaked in every moment.

At the time, I was enrolled in culinary classes part-time, raising my children, and had recently left a decade-long career as a Human Resource Operations Manager.

Three days after that contest, I bought my first smoker a humble Weber Smokey Mountain and soon after, my first Traeger, the Little Tex. That was the spark that ignited my lifelong journey into the world of barbecue.

In 2015, I moved to Central Florida and became the very first person ever to receive an O-1 visa designation from the United States government specifically as a Barbecue Expert, not simply as a chef. This recognition was awarded for my unique skill, expertise, and contributions to the craft of barbecue.

Over the years, I’ve cooked for prime ministers, presidents, sports stars, and celebrities, but what I love most is that barbecue brings people together. I love helping people become backyard BBQ rock stars.

No matter your income, background, or where you come from, everyone can share a plate of great BBQ.

Instructions

Preheat your Traeger grill to 350°F.

3.

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, chives, cilantro, peppers, cooked meat, and shredded cheese. Season with salt and black pepper.

4.

Pour the egg mixture into the prepared sheet pan.

5.

Cut each biscuit in half and arrange them cut-side down around the outside edge of the pan.

6.

Place the pan on the grill and cook for about 30 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the biscuits are golden brown.
