Description

This bold, savory marinade combines soy sauce, rosemary, garlic, and a touch of sweetness to create a flavorful grilled flank steak. The same marinade also works beautifully for beef roasts, ribs, pork loin, and short ribs.

Instructions

1.

In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, rosemary, garlic, brown sugar, honey, granulated onion, and black pepper until the sugar is dissolved and the marinade is well combined.

Place the flank steak in a non-reactive container such as a glass or plastic bowl, or a resealable bag. Pour the marinade over the steak and turn to coat evenly.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Preheat your grill to 400°F.

Remove the steak from the marinade and place it directly on the grill. Cook for 5–8 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 120–125°F for medium-rare.

6.

Remove from the grill and allow the steak to rest for 10 minutes.

7.

Slice against the grain and serve.

Pro Tip

This marinade works well for other cuts of meat such as beef roasts, beef ribs, pork loin, and short ribs.
